History

Three generations of champion bitches

The history of our kennel is still quite short but I hope that it reflects the purpose of our breeding.

Our first Border Terrier was Tuggelites Manfred, born in 1994. He came from Eric and Ann-Christine at kennel Tuggelites and belonged to Victor, our oldest son. Later on Manfred became Nordic Show Champion and passed the working trials.

Victor, 9 years old, with his first dog and the first Border Terrier in our family, NORDUCH J Tuggelites Manfred, 1 year old when he came to us in 1995. Thank you Eric & Anne-Christine for this wonderful dog and for introducing us to this breed!

In the beginning of 1996 came our next one, Bordrocks Boris Jokersson. Soon we realized that Boris is a dog with a great working ability. This resulted in that both me and my husband applied for the hunting license and started with practical hunting. Boris turned to be a great earth-working dog - Finnish and Swedish Working Champion - but mainly used for driving deers and at blood tracking. In the show ring he was always the second one in the winner-classes with a lot of champion-quality prizes. Still at the age of 11 he is the runner-up at our local Breed Special competing with all the young dogs.

Boris and Ebba, the foundation of the Hux Flux kennel. Boris is behind the Camé, Eldopal, Howlit and Juvel litters, Ebba is the bitch behind every litter breed at Hux Flux. Thanks to Bordrocks and Trientalis for these very special dogs!

In 1998 it was time for a female which was purchased by me and Victor in co-ownership. This was Trientalis Corona which became the foundation of kennel Hux Flux, the affix was applied for together by me and Victor in 1999. Ebba, as we called her, appeared to be a real Corona (lat. crown) among jewels when she wasn't just only a beauty herself but showed that she was good brood bitch and gave us a lucky start. Ebba became Swedish and Norweigian Show Champion with CACIB and Best In Show - placements. With her four litters she became the dam of champions in three different categories (show, earth working, blood tracking).

Our first litter was born in 2000 and was sired by MultiCh Ottercap To Good To Be True. We kept the female puppy, FINJ(g)CH Hux Flux Alva Ametist, who soon became Working Champion and the one that would carry on the bloodline in our kennel.

The next litter was the Brilliant-litter, born in 2001, when Victor made a very lucky choice of sire with an old-time favourite, SUCH Örvikens Alpros, never used at stud before even if he was already a veteran. This litter gave us the famous INTUCH SUCH NUCH GBZCH AUCH VDHCH KFTCH ITALCH LUXCH BELGCH NORDV-02 InterraW-02 InterraW-03 SwissW-05 AustrianW-06 Hux Flux Bror Brilliant, owned and successfully shown by kennel Örvikens for several years. Today "Bosse" lives in Switzerland at kennel Roxburgh's.

After this Brilliant-litter I run the Hux Flux kennel by myself. Victor still has a big commitment in dogs and is following what's going on in our kennel with interest even if his life abroad doesn't give the possibilities to have any dogs at the moment.

Alva's first litter was the Camé-litter, result of a "secret romance" with our own FINJ(g)CH SJ(g)CH Bordrocks Boris Jokersson.

The next litter - the Diamonds - was born in 2002, sired by MultiCh Borderhouse Quincy out of SUCH NUCH Trientalis Corona. NV-03 Hux Flux Disa Diamant got 4 CC's and her brother Hux Flux Didrik Diamant became Tracking Champion at an early age.

In the autumn of 2002 they did it again, Boris and Alva... How it happened is still a mystery! The result this time was a litter called Eldopal and we kept the pretty Hux Flux Elvira Eldopal, CC-winner and later on even Finnish and Swedish Working Champion!

In 2003 Victor had a litter by Ch Axbor Dante out of Ch Trientalis Corona. That's the reason why they are named Wictorius instead of the names of precious stones we use otherwise. One of the puppies from this litter is CC-Winner Hux Flux Wictorius Warlock.

This year even Alva had a litter planned by me instead of by herself! The sire was Bordrocks Lizz' Ollie and here we got some wellknown champions; Double champion Swedish and Danish Show Champion Nordic Working Champion SV-04 KBHW-07 Hux Flux Freja Flintsten, owned by kennel Svinghammars and Tripple Champion Nordic Show Champion, Nordic Working Champion, Swedish Tracking Champion Hux Flux Fred Flintsten, owned by Per-Ola Olofsson and Anne Liljegren.

In 2005 Alva gave birth to her Granat-litter, sired by SUCH Conundrum Tangled Up In Blue. So far one Finnish Working Champion Hux Flux Gilbert Granat with several CC's and owned by kennel Dundarroch in Finland. His brother LP1 Hux Flux Godwin Granat is succesfully competing in obedience with owner Maria Halt.

In the summer of 2005 Ch Hux Flux Elvira Eldopal had her first litter which consisted the two Howlit-boys. Elvira had an accident in the autumn of 2004, she was hitten by a car and got a fracture of her pelvic-bone. This resulted in that she had to give birth with a caesarean and by that she couldn't be the brood bitch as expected. NUCH Hux Flux Holger Howlit, owned by kennel Nyengets in Norway was easily made up champion and already have some succesful daughters in Norway.

In the winter of 2006 Alva's last litter was born, sired by the English gentleman SUCH Orenberg Night Hawk. The still young Iskristall-litter have now started to show what they go for! At the age of just 2 years old two of them could alreday be called Double Champions. NORDUCH SVCH J Hux Flux Isak Iskristall, even he owned by Per-Ola Olofsson and Anne Liljegren, is a Nordic Show Champion, Tracking Champion and is close to gain his working title. His sister Iris is kept by us and she was soon made up Nordic Show Champion and Finnish working Champion.

By this Alva has in five litters by four different sires given birth to one Tripple Champion, three Double Champions, two CC-winning Working Champions and one Obedience Champion.

In 2006 she was awarded by The Swedish Border Terrier Society as a brood bitch with the Silver-award and in 2007 she was awarded with finest award in Gold.

During 2007 two litter was born. In the spring the second and last litter out of Elvira was born. After two years of thinking, discussing with veterinary surgeons and so on I decided to try with mating her again. I really wanted to keep a bitch from this line!

The choosen sire was SVCH J Toftahill All Time High and in May the three Jewels were born - all of them were malepuppies! But it isn't worse then that you could change your mind, so kept by the kennel is FINJ(g)CH Hux Flux Julius Juvel!

Our latest litter is born in december 2007 by NUCH Cirkus Let It Be and out of NORDUCH FINJ(g)CH Hux Flux Iris Iskristall. From this litter we have kept the very promising female puppy, J Hux Flux Kornelia Korall.

In 2007 Alva was awarded The no 1 Top Winning Brood Bitch of the year, this is only including the show merits of her offspring and at the same occasion she got the Golden-award for brood bitch of working dogs, the finest award from the Swedish breed club. The Hux Flux kennel was awarded with the finest award for breeder of working dogs by our breed club as well. A true reason for celebrations! The following year even The Swedish Earthdog Society awarded Alva with their Golden Award as a brood bitch of succesful workers and Hux Flux received their award for breeders. By that Alva is Sweden's most awarded brood bitch in modern times and we are so thrilled about the upcoming generations from this leading blood line!

Wilma and Oxinka is two very carefully planned imports from Finland respectively Czech Republic and the first dogs brought to the kennel in 10 years since me and Victor bought our foundation bitch back in 1998

In the beginning of 2008 we got our first import, Dundarroch Gossip Starter, from Annika Jansson of the Dundarroch kennel in Finland. She is co-owned with Anne Liljegren & Per-Ola Olofsson and we are excited to see how she turns out. Later the same year we got another female puppy, this time from Roman Trojka of the z Romanova chovu kennel in Czech Republic. Her name is Oxinka z Romanova chovu and she is the granddaughter of INTUCH SUCH NUCH GBZCH AUCH VDHCH KFTCH ITALCH LUXCH BELGCH NORDV-02 InterraW-02 InterraW-03 SwissW-05 AustrianW-06 Hux Flux Bror Brilliant. We are so happy to introduce these lines to Sweden again! Oxinka is co-owned and live together Anne & Per-Ola as well.

Pleasing for us is that the Hux Flux dogs has an influence in other kennels and we have exported dogs to breeders in Norway, Finland, Germany, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

We hope to keep on breeding versatile; working, pleasant, healthy and beautiful Border Terriers for many years. For the future our young promises is NORDUCH FINJ(g)CH Hux Flux Iris Iskristall, Hux Flux Julius Juvel and the "baby-girls" Hux Flux Kornelia Korall, Dundarroch Gossip Starter and Oxinka z Romanova chovu.
